         W=8g +700 is a linear equation i.e. a straight line with a slope of 8 (the approximate weight of one gallon of water) and a intercept of 700 lbs which is the weight of the spa when g=0 i.e. no water in the spa. The weight of the spa when it full g=250 gal is w(250)=8*250+700=2,700 lbs.

 

To make a table of W vs g just choose several values for g a calculate the corresponding values for W.
