1. From my memory, Light is both a particle and a wave, this is probably the MOST important thing for light, but there are many others that are built up, for example as a particle light is called a photon, and as a wave, it is related to the electromagnetic spectrum.
2. Infrared light is when light has a wavelength slightly larger than visible light. We can only see visible light so we need infrared machines to see that "kind" of light.It has a bigger wavelength, and a smaller frequency. It is also...red.
3. Not quite sure what you mean by scale down. But if you mean like on a map...
On a map, lets say there are 2 cities, approximately 5 inches apart. The map scaling is 1 inch=1 mile, so in real life they are not 5 inches, but 5 miles.
That is scaling on a map, please go a little more in depth if you still have a problem.
