• (12-6)/(h--5)=3/4 ~ basic slope equation
• 6/(h+5)=3/4 ~ simplification
• 24=3(h+5) ~ multiply both sides by (h+5) and 4 to clear the fractions
• 24=3h+15 ~ distribute the 3
• 9=3h ~ subtract 15
• h=3 ~ divide by 3
