The order of the numbers would be from the one that is lowest (most negative number) to the highest (biggest positive number),      The order is   - 435     - 210    0    50     614     5343

 

Sea level is at zero.

 

The 'absolute value' is the distance from zero.  A distance is always positive, so an 'absolute value' is always positive.  To answer the next part, consider if the problem has 2 numbers, so there can be a 'distance' or 'change' between them.

 

a) The 'distance' between opposites, such as - 4 and 4, is 8.  A distance is always positive.  So, the distance between two opposites shows an absolute value.

b) The temperature 'change' went from - 5 to - 15, a change of 10 degrees.  The change can be considered the 'distance' between two temperatures and so the change of temperature shows an absolute value.

c)  Entering one value into an account would not show an absolute value.

d)  A magnitude is one number ans would not show an absolute value.
