React is one of the pioneer JavaScripts frameworks that uses compontent design. As a developer who often uses React, I would say it's major benefits is designing views with re-usability in mind. On top of that, you have a large number of supporting libraries in its ecosystem (such as Redux, Sagas, Flux, etc) and strong developer community.
