Microsoft Access - 25 years of corporate world experience
After you install Microsoft Access on your computer, open it from the start menu. You will see a screen that allows you to use one of the database templates or to create a blank database (to create a custom database). This screen is a good example of the power of Access. Access can create a template database is areas such as inventory, task management, time and billing, etc. The template will be a fully functioning database usually with a main menu, update\inquiry screens, and reporting. You can then modify the created template database to your needs or customize it to apply to your company. Whether you select a blank database or a template, Access will then prompt you to select a location on your computer. You can also create a database on a corporate shares drive if you would like multiple users to access the data concurrently. I can tutor you step by step to help you decide which type of template (or blank) database would be best for you as well as help you to build the database with all of the features you will need.
