How do I link data from an Access query into Excel?

I have a large amount of data that I want Access to query and not bring everything into Excel.How do I save the query from Access so that Excel will recognize it as an external source?

Hello Carolyn, I am not sure I understand the question. If the data is in Excel and you want to query it from Access you simply need to link to the Excel file(s) and Access will see the linked file(s) as tables. Conversely I know that you can link from Excel to Access as an external database but I have never used that feature.
