Wicca is an Earth-based Religion involving a syncretistic view of the world, spirituality, and religious practice. It was founded by Gerald Gardner in 1954 through the inspiration of various traditions of pagan practices and religions as well as metaphysical sciences passed down through the ages. Wicca has a very simple and peaceful dogma of "Do as thou will, and it harm none" (main excerpt from the Wiccan Rede). Along with this tenet, Wiccans are open to freedom of extraordinary or deified beliefs within limitations to the dogma of the Rede. Generally however, most Wiccans commonly accept a duo-theistic view of spirituality therein existing (in immanence or simply in symbolism) a concept of a male and female deity.
