How do I prevent Quality loss in the beginning of a video?

If it's recorded to digital, you won't lose the quality. ...Encodement. If you are incorporating multiple sources of video with different encodements (?) ...well, your problem stems from how you downloaded the capured video. The video has to maintain the same endodement.
