Remembering Color Words?

I seem to have a lot more difficulty remembering color words than other vocabuary in Korean.\nApart from just repating and repeating again, are there tricks or techniques for remembering them?\nI often confuse 빨간색/파란색 and 갈색/회색.

Hey there, to answer your question about -Korean- colors:

Just like in any language, I think associating it with an object that is invariably that color is a great trick. So, for example, apples are almost always red, so if you keep the phrase "빨간 사과" in your head whenever trying to think of the word red, and thus the association will be brought from the abstract concept of red, to the physical concept of an apple. We could do the same thing for any color, for instance, 초록은 개구리 for the "green frog." This way, we can have an array of physical objects to associate with instead of abstract ideas.

There's definitely tricks to remembering color words, you can make up imaginary people names or codes to help you remember. For example, I grew up remembering the colours of the rainbow by memorizing an imaginary person called Roy G. Biv. The letters in this name corresponds to the order of the colors of the rainbow. See example below;

R - stands for RED

O - stands for Orange

Y - stands for Yellow

G - stands for Green

B - stands for Blue

I - stands for Indigo

V - stands for Violet
