Since JWs don't celebrate birthdays, how do young children know how old they are?

On their birthday, do you just casually mention "Oh, hey, you're six now, by the way.", or do you just tell them whenever it comes up?

Jehovah's Witnesses do keep track of the age of their children, they just do not celebrate birthdays. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that birthday celebrations have pagan roots such as making a wish when you blowout a candle.
