From a Christian perspective, I might tweak the question just a bit. A true Christian doesn't consider themselves to be religious. They have a relationship with Jesus Christ by grace through faith. I could point you to evidence but all the evidence I needed was to know Jesus. Prior to the age of 14, I had never heard the Gospel and was raised in an atheist home. When I heard, I believed. I think the testimony of most people would be similar. There's a good reason for that. Only God can save, so the heart must change before the person will believe.
