The Ideal Gas Law states that PV=nRT (Pressure x Volume = number of moles x Ideal Gas Constant x Temperature in Kelvins.
Thus if you multiply the pressure and volume by 2, to balance the equation, you must also multiply the right side of the equation by 2. This in effect, doubles the temperature of the gas in Kelvins. The number of moles would be a constant and of course, R, the Ideal Gas Constant also remains unchanged.
