Borophene is a material consisting of a single layer of Boron atoms. Chemists have confirmed it is stronger and more flexible than graphene, conducts both electricity and heat and is comparably light, allowing it to be used in batteries. However, there are still hurdles for borophene to jump through before it is used in the industry.
