Does mechanical engineering require the most math as opposed to other types of engineering?

It depends on the discipline. In Mechanics of Solids, Fluids, Vibrations, Control and Micro Electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) you use lots of Math. In manufacturing and production you need less mathematics. So it depends on your discipline.

Not particularly. It does require more physics than a lot of other types of engineering, which is very math dense, particularly the Thermodynamics/Fluids/Heat Transfer portion of ME. However nearly all engineering degrees will require all 4 Calcs (Calc I/II, Multi and Diff Eq.) so in terms of formal math they are all equitable.
