Motivating passages from your religious text(s)?

Hello! As a soon-to-be Naval Officer, I'm trying to educate myself on different religions as much as possible; I was raised in a non-religious household, but I know how important religion can be to others. My subordinate sailors are going to have to rely on me to get help, and there might not always be a Chaplain readily available. What are some motivating passages from your religious text of choice that you believe could help a discouraged sailor get through the day? Please state the source (i.e. The Bible, Luke 23:34) of the passage. The following contexts are appreciated but not required: -Your religion and denomination -The specific version of your religious text you are referencing (i.e. King James Bible, Hafs Quran, etc.) -The context/story surrounding the quote -A link to a virtual version of the quote -If you were once or have had to counsel a discouraged servicemember, any passages/quotes you used to help remotivate yourself/them Thank you all in advance!
