Difference between the verbs “amener” and “emmener”, and also “emporter” and “apporter”?
I was under the impression that both *amener* and *emmener* mean "to take" someone somewhere. I'm not sure how they differ in usage.I started wondering after hearing the song *L'Homme Que J'Adore*, where the singer says:> 1. L'homme de mes rêves m'**amène** sur une îleOr maybe it's really:> 2. L'homme de mes rêves m'**emmène** sur une îleAnd how do *emporter* and *apporter* fit into this?
