Tab space instead of multiple non-breaking spaces ("nbsp")?

Is it possible to insert a tab character in HTML instead of having to type ` ` four times?

You can add a fixed number of spaces by putting them inside <pre> </pre> tags.

Using CSS you can also use padding to adjust the spacing.

Your approach depends on what you are trying to do. It might be better to use a different approach if you are attempting to align items on the page.
