On peut remplacer plusieurs pronoms: nous, vous, ils.... et tout le monde l'utilise souvent:
Si on faire une promenade? What if we take a walk?
On doit avoir un passeport pour y aller. You/one/we have to have a passport to go there.
Il faut qu'on étudie avant un examen. You have to study before an exam.
Perhaps one of the most important points of ON is that it is a singular pronoun, even though often we use it to describe a group. It is always conjugated like il/elle.
