How many people speak Latin?

Currently, Latin is considered a dead language. Those who work in the Vatican speak Ecclesiastical Latin which uses the same grammar as Ciceronian Latin, but with a more Italian accent. There are also many people in the US who have learned to speak Latin and hold spoken Latin conferences.
