I'm not sure how to solve Quadratic Equations

Question

I have to find the Vertex, Max/Min, Axis of Symmetry, Increasing and Decreasing Interval and the Zeroes. Here is one of the sample questions. y=(x+3)^2

The Zero is the value of "x" that makes "y" zero. Here it is -3.

This function has only one Zero. The axis of symmetry, the vertex, and the minimum occur at the zero

Axis of symmetry, x = 0.

Vertex, ( 0, 0 )

Minimum, ( 0, 0 )

The function is always positive. So it decreases when x < 0, and increases when x > 0.

Decreasing interval ( -∞, 0 )

Increasing interval ( 0, +∞ )
