Balanced Reaction: NaOH + HCl → NaCl + H2O
Calculate moles of HCl using its volume and molarity
mol HCl = 0.50 mol/L x 135.0 mL x (1 L / 1000 mL) = 0.0675 mol HCl
Since 1 mol of HCl reacts with 1 mol of NaOH,
mol NaOH = 0.0675 mol HCl x (1 mol NaOH / 1 mol HCl) = 0.0675 mol NaOH
Use moles NaOH and molarity to calculate volume.
Volume NaOH = moles / Molarity = 0.0675 mol / 6.0 mol/L = 0.01125 L x (1000 mL / 1 L) = 11 mL (rounded to 2 significant figures)
