Is it possible that God made me born smart?

I cut myself using scissors. I got hospitalized later on. I came back to school. After I returned to school because of having been hospitalized using scissors, I remember that in January 2018, my math and science teacher (my math teacher is also my science teacher) said that I am one of his best students and he also said that I always get a hundred with him. I was in 10th Grade at the time. Now I am part of 11th Grade. So, based on the information given in this post, is it possible that God made me born smart regardless of my suicide attempt using scissors back in January 4th, 2018? If so, how?

Yes, it is God who gives intellectual acumen. But He also gives us free will as to how to use our abilities.
