Analyzing quantitative data is detailed and depends on several factors, some statistical factors, some conceptual factors.
- sample size (large enough for parametric or non parametric statistics)
- data distribution (normal or skewed)
- type of data you are analyzing (nominal, ordinal, scale)
- specifically what is the question you are answering with your statistic (concept goal)
These are only the beginning steps, but it leads you in the direction of the type of statistic you need to directly address your hypothesis or your project aim. Look up each of these in SPSS and it can further guide you. There are also answer trees online to lead you into the exact statistics needed based on your data, but nothing compares to speaking with an expert on exactly which statistic you need to run.
