In all the cases above, the consonant sound is pronounced, but the e is silent. In most French words, the final letter is silent, with the general exception of the letters CRFL (the consonants in the word careful), and vowels with accent marks (é, for example). The preceding consonants are almost always pronounced.
It is common for native speakers to speak quickly enough that certain sounds are either inaudible or dropped entirely, which explains the inconsistency.
