Hi Justis,
If you split all the aqueous compounds into ions, the equation becomes
Zn2+ + 2NO3- + 2K+ + CO32- → ZnCO3 + 2K+ + 2NO3-
Since the K and NO3 ions occur on both sides, you can remove them.
Zn2+(aq) + CO32-(aq) → ZnCO3(s)
