The mass of the balloon will increase by the amount of hydrogen inserted. For example if 500 grams of hydrogen is the original amount in the balloon, when we double it the mass of the balloon containing the hydrogen will increase by 500 grams. Mass is an extrinsic property which means it is dependent on the sample size.
Density on the other hand is an intrinsic property. The density of the hydrogen will not change.
