I would add that when a language is described as "dead," this doesn't necessarily mean nobody speaks it. It just means it no longer has a community of native-speakers--people who grow up speaking it as their first language. There can still be plenty of people who speak the language fluently after learning it as a second language, and this is the case with Latin. In addition to Roman Catholic priests, many scholars and other people interested in the ancient world have learned Latin, and there's a large enough online community of Latin-speakers for a subset of them to have written over 140,000 Wikipedia (or rather "Vicipaedia," the Neo-Latin spelling) articles in the language.
Why is Wikipedia available in Latin when Latin is a dead language?

People call Latin a dead language because Latin was an ancient language that evolved over time into separate languages (Italian, Spanish, French) that are now very different from their original ancient form. Nevertheless, lots of people still learn Latin through study and are able to read and write in it.
