distance and possible coordinates

Point B has coordinates -4, 3. The y coordinate of point A is 8. The distance between point A and B is 13 units. What are the possible coordinates of point A?

There is just one unkown to find - the x coordinate of A. You should be able to set up an equation using the information given, and this one parameter, call it x.

 

"The distance from A to B is 13"

 

So, calculate the distance between A and B using some formula that you know is right, and set it equal to 13, then solve for x.
