"Infinite" power generation

Question

My main question is why is it considered impossible to create machines or technology that can create infinite power. I am a major enthusiast of technology, mechanical and electrical engineering, and I have thought about this question many times. I understand that the law of conservation of energy but it seems to me that even with this in place having a "infinite" power generator should still be semi feasible. Why is it considered wrong to think this is possible.

It's not feasible because there are always inefficiencies within the system that create loss.

In a mechanical system this is primarily friction and the heat that's generated from the friction. These inefficiencies add up and create power loss.

Similarly, there is resistance in wires and in electrical components as well which lose energy as heat generation.

The amount of energy you get out will always be less than the amount you put in because some of the energy is converted to heat or other forms of energy
