I am a Junior at Capella University, I excel in vocabulary.
I have dealt with bullying in High School and never understood why. I feel so bad for people who deal with this as its never any fun. There are people out there that bully due to either their living environment at home, whether they were bulled and now they are the bully or simply because they have a guard up and it's a mechanism to protect themselves. My ideas are coming from a psychology point of view. I have read research that shows people who live in hostile environments, tend to experience negative social outcomes. They see their parents or friends being rude and disrespectful or they are constantly being mentally abused, so they grow up bullying others to protect themselves. There can be people who were bullied before and now they become the bully to protect themselves from being bullied again. This does not make being a bully okay, they should consider seeing a therapist to see what the cause is of why they are bullying others. Some people might simply enjoy picking on other people because it makes them feel goos about themselves, and if this is the case, it's sad.
I hope I answered you question, if not, we can figure out something else!
