If you prefer, since those foot measurements don't convert to handy whole-yard measurements, you can think of a square yard as 3 feet x 3 feet, or 9 square feet.
So the carpet costs 13.75 per 9 square feet. Divide that to get the cost per ONE square foot, then calculate the square-foot areas of the two rooms and multiply your per-square-foot cost by that number.
Either way works great!
