Constant increase in velocity

Question

How do I figure the “speed” over time if an object is under a constant increase in velocity.

Example: if a space ship is producing “artificial” gravity by constantly producing 1 G of forward thrust how fast will the ship be going in a given amount of time?

i don’t know the formula or where to plug in the numbers.

1G of acceleration is 9.80665 m/sec²

The general acceleration formula is A = (velocity change in m/sec)/(time in sec)

Therefore, if you are starting from a dead stop and you reach 1G acceleration in a negligible amount of time:

9.80665 m/sec² * t sec = final velocity in m/sec
