The perimeter of a rectangle garden is 540 m. The length of the garden is twice its breadth find the dimensions of the garden .

P = 2(L + W) = 540 m
L = 2W....Substitute this equation into the perimeter equation, you get
P = 2(2W + W) = 540
2(3W) = 540
6W = 540
W = 540 / 6 = 90 m
L = 2W = 2 x 90 = 180 m
