Gabriella had some candy to give to her three children she first took two pieces for herself and then evenly divided the rest of mom her children each child received two pieces with how many pieces did she start

We know she has 3 children and each child got two pieces of candy so 3 times 2 equals 6.

We also see that she the first two pieces so we have to add those 2 pieces of candy 6+2=8.

I am assuming the word "mom" was suppose to be "among".  The problems "divided the rest" meaning there was no candy left.

 

Thus, the answer is 8.
