You poured some 10% alcohol solution and some 12% alcohol solution into a mixing container. Now you have 500 grams of 11.36% alcohol solution. How many grams of 10% solution and how many grams of 12% solution did you pour into the mixing container?

The first solution had 0.10A grams of alcohol and the 2nd 0.12(500-A) alcohol, so

56.8 = 0.10A + 0.12(500-A)

Solve for A and derive the 2nd amount from there.
