If three identical tennis balls fill up a 12" tall can then each ball has a diameter of 4" (12/3 = 4)
That would make the radius of each ball 2" (radius = 1/2 * diameter)
The formula for the volume of a sphere is
V = 4/3 * ╥ * r3
So the volume of one tennis ball would be
V = 4/3 ╥ 23
Now you can solve for the volume
