How many eggs did the chicken have

A chicken is taking her eggs to the market in a car but hits a pothole which knocks over all the containers of eggs.  She is unhurt but every egg is broken.  She calls the insurance agent who asks her how many eggs she had.  She says she doesn't know but remembers something from trying to pack them.  When she grouped the eggs in 2, 3, 4, f and 6 there was one egg left over, but when she put them in groups of 7 they ended up in complete groups without any eggs left over

This is a good logic problem and here's how to tackle it. Let the number of eggs be N

Then, given all the remainders, N must be equal to (2 . 3 . 4 . 5 . 6) + 1

=> N = 720 + 1 = 721 eggs

The chicken had been very busy and laid 721 eggs.
