How would you simpilfy this rational expression?

35000x^2-x

    200x 

 

I can't seem to grasp this...

Hi Pam,

First break the given expression:

(35000x2 - x)/200x

up into:

35000x2/200x - x/200x

now simplify each term:

175x - 1/200
