Isosceles triangle - algerbra 1

The length of one of the equal sides is (15x-4) inches. The length of the non-equal side is (3x+2) inches. If the perimeter of the triangle is (40x-41) inches, find the numerical values of x, the length of all three sides and the perimeter.

You are given the expressions for each. Substitute 3 for x, ie 15(3) - 4.

Oops x = 5, not 3.
 
15(5) - 4 is the length of two of your sides.

so the lengths of the equal sides are 71 and the non equal side is 17 which makes the perimeter 159. Ty
