A company offers its employees two plans. The first plan offers $500 per week and $18 for every unit they sell. The second plan offers $1000 per week and $5 for every unit they sell. How many units would you have to sell to make the first plan more profitable?

Let x = the number of units

y = 500 + 18x

y = 1000 + 5x

500 + 18x > 1000 + 5x

13x  > 500

x  > 38.5 units
