Two angles are complementary. If one angle is one third of the second angle, what are the two angles?

  • n=first angle
  • 2n=second angle
  • Complementary=90-n

I believe you have your unknowns defined incorrectly. The way you defined them, the second angle is twice the first angle. However, you state that the first angle is 1/3 of the second angle. Also, if two angles are complementary, their sum is 90.
