Well then if they are complementary then they add up to 90 degrees
so angle 2 + angle 3 = 90
(2x-5) + (4x-13) = 90
6x - 18 = 90
6x = 108
x = 18
So angle 2 = 2(18) - 5 = 36 - 5 = 31
angle 3 = 4(18)-13 = 72 - 13 = 59
They add up to 90
