Hi. To find ordered pairs, simply plug in a number for x or y and solve for the other variable.
For example, it's usually easiest to use x or y equals 0 for one value.
Let's try x = 0
5x - 3y = 12
5*0 - 3y = 12
- 3y = 12
y = -4
So the point (0, -4) is on the line
Now, we can do y = 0
5x - 3*0 = 12
5x = 12
x = 12/5
x = 2 2/5
so (2 2/5, 0) is another point
Now we can do anything you want.
For y = 1:
5x - 3 =12
5x = 15
x = 3
so (3,1) is another point
