Hi Seni,
The radius is half the diameter so it equals 1.5 inches
Volume of the glass = pi·(1.5)2 ·6
Volume of the glass = 13.5 pi in3
= approximately 42.412 in3
The volume of 3 ice cubes is 3 times LxWxH
volume of ice cubes = 3·(1.5)3
volume of ice cubes = 10.125 in3
volume of water needed = 42.412 -10.125
volume of water needed = 32.287 in3
NOTE: it's important to know if you should you use the pi key on your calculator (which is what I did) or use 3.14
Using 3.14 gives you an answer of 32.265 in2
(Hopefully this won't be comfusing. Be sure your answer is not supposed to be in ml. That would have to be converted.)
