Intermediate value theorem

For f(x)=x^2-4x^2+3x-6 use the intermediate value theorem to determine which interval must contain a zero of f

f(x) = x³ - 4x² + 3x - 6

 

1. f(x) is continuous

2. f(0) = -6

3. f(5) = 24

4. f(c) = 0, c ∈ [0, 5]

Answer 2

I think this is mistyped....x^3 - 4x^2 +3x - 6 will contain at least one real zero.

 

As it is typed, there are no real zeros of the function (x^2 - 4x^2 combine to equal -3x^2)

 

-3x^2 + 3x - 6 = 0 has non real complex solutions.
