Hummingbird food correction

Question

plans to make 2 batches of hummingbird food.  using 2 cups of sugar to 4 cups of water. 

 

ERROR Here’s the problem I in error brought 3 cups of water to a boil then added 7 cups of sugar. (This method is used to melt the granules and once the mix has cooled finish off with the correct amount of water.).  

 

Can you give the me the ratio to make 2 batch’s from my error

The starting ratio is sugar : water = 2 : 1

So 7 cups sugar need 3.5 cups of water

Add 0.5 c water
