distance traveled= rate * time or d=r*t, and r=d/t

14 mi 8 mi/t hours (t+1) (t+1)=original time plus 1 additional hour.
Their speeds or rates are the same as given in the problem. However, it did take one hour longer for the return trip.
Q: Find the jogger's speed or rate? We need to find the value "t" before finding the speed.
