German Romantic opera is much larger and grander than Italian or French Opera. Describe the orchestra and the singing in this section of Wagner’s opera. Does the music fit with the events being described? Which type of opera do you prefer – Wagnerian (German) or Italian/French (such as that from Aida). Explain why you prefer one over the other

I do not prefer German opera over Italian or French. They all can provide grand experiences.

When Aida is performed in Verona in the summer seadon, it comes completew with camels and other animals in the Grand Procession. Nor can one say the Bizet's Carmen is a small work and definitely no Boito's Mefistofele.

Having been an Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master in seveeral companies, I thoroughly enjoy all opera.
