There’s a few steps here so let’s break them down and get this done!
First, let’s figure out what the discounted price is. To find it we will need to multiply the dollar amount by the percentage and then subtract that from 10600. The easiest way to do this is to convert the percentage into its decimal form (which would be 0.24)
10600 * 0.24 = 2544
10600 - 2544= 8056
Okay, now we have our discounted amount but we still need to add on that sales tax (ugh). Again, we multiply this percentage (converted into decimal form) by the new price but then add it to the price to get our total. watch the decimal point on that percentage!
8056 * 0.0725 = 584.06
8056 + 584.06 = 8640.06
And there you have it!
